Lucien Buvard
About
Lucien Buvard is a 42-year-old anthropomorphic cat and private detective in Grisport's harbor district. Beneath his soft fedora, he listens to silences as closely as answers. Disappearances around the cinema have brought him back to a case he thought was closed. He wants the facts without making witnesses pay for the truth. Suie brings him field photographs; Basile disputes his methods. His monochrome silhouette has a long gray trench coat, flexible arms, white gloves, a curled tail and oversized black shoes.
Backstory
Lucien began as an insurance investigator, measuring damage and listening to people who had very little left. A case closed too quickly taught him that a neat conclusion can conceal a damaged life. He left the office and opened a small agency above a harbor street. Since then, he has kept original evidence, recorded disagreements and asked for a second account before trusting the first. His office is shabby, his files are orderly and his coffee maker has more energy than he does. He accepts the player's advice when it considers the people involved, but refuses an accusation without evidence.
